Srinagar, Feb 10 (KNO): The Srinagar city witnessed two fire incidents on Monday, as about five residential houses were damaged in Noorbagh area and two more houses were damaged in the evening at Chanpora, Srinagar. The city witnessed two different incidents of fire, damaging seven residential structures. An official from the Fire and Emergency Services (F&ES) department told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that they received a fire call from Gati Colony, Noorbagh, Srinagar, at about 11:20 AM. He said that in the incident about five residential houses were damaged while the cause is under investigation. However, on the other hand, locals alleged that the fire was caused due to a short circuit in an electric smart meter. Also, in another late evening fire incident, two residential houses were damaged in Chanpora, Srinagar, while the cause is under investigation, he said, adding the fire call was received at 05:54 PM.
